I'm replacing my fronts with some blues and skunk2 coils.
Now is this how its supposed to sit?


Or am I supposed to remove the upper silver plate and allow the coil to rest against the top perch?
It just seems like there is quite a bit of movement from the perch even with the top perch nut tightened down fairly tight.
Any insight on this is greatly appreciated because this is one of the ares I definitely don't want to fail.

The bushing thats sitting between both plates is wrong. The silver plate will need to go against the top mount. The bushing will go under the top silver plate. That bushing is a bump stop for when you bottom out.

Anyway now when I lower the car back down, it only sits 1/4" lower then stock? and the spring is sitting almost 3/4ths of the way down the screw thing.

apparently I should see a lot more of a drop then this at this point??
When its right to the base of the screw thing, I should be like 3" lower then stock so I don't know what the heel I messed up.

Please if anyone can help me I'd love it.

new springs? give them time to settle, a couple hundred miles on not so nice roads should do it

Psh, 3" my bum hole...I wish... Today I got fed up and went out and dropped the springs all the way to the bottom of the coil sleeve.
My ride hight only dropped 1/2 and inch from stock and I cant lower it any more.
What the hell is going on? I did my rears and with them fully lowered I still have about 1"1/4 of gap.
I figured with them all the way down the car would be slammed.
I bought the coils used so they will not be sagging to my desired hight.
Any suggestions??!!??

I herd something about cutting the perch or something but wont that void my warranty? Also once its cut what does the sleeve rest on?

Yes you need to grind off the perch to leave enough lip for the sleeve to sit on, and yes it voids the warranty.
This is why I never suggest sleeve type coilovers to anyone.
Tein basic damper setup/lowering springs or other true coilover setups.
Or use Koni yellows because they have a removable perch and the correct rings to support sleeve type coilovers.

Thats your problem, get that perch problem sorted out and you'll be scrapping the ground and hate the ride quality.
