#3003, "question about willwood brake kits and others like it"
i was just wondering why they would put "not for street use" on the product- i know they're trying to cover their ass, but i've heard that with certain brakes that you have to pump them for 10 min or so to get them warmed up before they really start to grip...are the brembo big brake kits like this? i hear that this is normally done with carbon fibre pads/carbon kevlar...sortof confused about this....

your right that they say that to just cover thier ass but, its all about the compound of the pad you use. Some dont start to really grab until there heated up at a certain point, those are strickly for racing. I just bought a wilwood brake package and the pads that come with them are a lil softer for street rods and other cars so you dont have to get them to a certain heat level...i think im pretty right on this.
