Is it ok to drive it until I have time to work on it? My grandfather just passed and everything is taking place this weekend. Is it ok to put this on hold for the weekend? Please let me know asap!

Well that sucks because I am at work right now so I have to use it to drive home. If its not one thing its another with these cars! My power steering tensioner is broken and the bolt fell out of my alternartor tensioner so I just put a prybar on the alt. and tightend it when I had force on it. I am also leaking oil from my head. DAMN!!

Who needs power steering?
My alternator tensioner thing on my talon is missing, Dave (eclipsemoneypit95) and I did the same thing as you did with that. And my head has always leaked.
But as for the tie rod, I wouldn't drive on it unless you ABSOLUTELY have to. I've heard really bad things for when those break.
I'd also wait to hear what other people have to say about this. But I wouldnt' drive it, except to home (depending on how far you have to go). But then again, I've done some stupid shit and driven knowing that certain things are broken... it's a wonder I never died or wrecked.

What do you mean by "broken"? If it's broken it's impossible to steer the car. If it's just got play in it, it won't hold the alignment, and depending on how much play there is, the steering could be unpredictable.

Its not broken but it is bent so that I cant align it. I was looking in the haynes manual and its not that hard to fix, I just have to have time. Luckily I was able to drive my moms car today to work. Yeah I don't need power steering but ac would be nice, but then again I have gone with out it for over 6 months so I am kind of used to it.

I take it you're talking about the inner tie rod. I have a writeup floating around here somewhere telling how to change that.
What I do in the shop when customers don't want to pay for a new inner tie rod is position the inner tie rod so that the bend is aimed straight down, then I use the alignment jack to lift the car up by the bent spot, and it straightens it right out You could do this at home with a floor jack, and a peice of metal, if you're careful with how much you turn the tie rod, then you'll need to get an alignment afterwords.
I wouldn't drive anywhere else but to get it fixed.

you can drive it, if u didnt know it's been broken, than a little more driving until you fix it isnt gonna hurt it anymore than it already is. Just watch for large potholes, and go slow over speed bumps and you'll be fine
