Hey this is my first time buying new tires. I dont know which one to buy .... Kumho ECSTA ASX or Pirelli PZero M&S. It seems alot of people on this board have the kumho's .. so how are they? Any noise and how is it in the snow? From the tirerack site .. the pirelli seem to be the best. From the tire test on their site it came in first and kumho came in second.
THese tires are for the stock 16in rims. Will 215/55/16 fit or will it bulge out? And is there a noticeable difference with the grip between 215 and 205?
Price is $304.66 thats including s/h for the Kumho ECSTA ASX 215/55/16 and $436.10 for Pirelli PZero M&S size 205/55/16 (they dont have 215 for 16in rims)
Input from people who have either tires would be great. THanks

The PZero Nero M&S is a great performing tire, but it is also pricey compared to the Kumhos. If you read tirerack.com's ratings, the PZero Nero M&S is rated much higher than the ASX. I'd go with those if you care a lot about handling. However, be warned that the tires do wear about relatively fast. They will end up lasting only about 15k miles on my wrx, but I do drive it hard. I think if I wanted to I could have made them last 20-25k.

I can vouch for the Kumho ECSTA ASX. I really love these tires. I have 225/40/18. They are very beefy, they handle fantastically and I get minimal to hardly any road noise from them and most imporantly they have not worn hardly at all with the 6k miles or so that I have put on them. For the money these are hands down the best in my opinion. I had the money to throw towards some Toyos but I opted to save that extra cash because these tires were a great buy and had great reviews. So in my honest opinion, save the extra money you got and get some Kumhos instead of the Pirellis.

Well I ended up getting the kumho's in 215/50/16 and just put them on today. After a few test drives, they are great compared to my michelin grand touring tires. It fits well but i wish i just have some wider rims because they do kind of bulge out a little bit. There is no road noise that i noticed and you can feel the tires gripping when doing a fast turn. All in all, these are great tires for the price.
