what kinda tires do you guys recommend? 17x7 rim - prolly gonna get 215/45/17 again. the last set i bought was Kumho supra ecsta's. they were not bad, though one of them developed a small bubble about a year later. it lasted til now (tread almost gone) even though i prolly should've changed it sooner. i live in hawaii so summer tires are fine.

I have Yokohoma tires that were uber expensive (not by choice), but I'd just get some Fuzion tires. Good warranty, good looking tread, and perfect for daily driving.

I personally would recommend against Kumho... nobody I know has liked theirs

Goodyear Eagle F1s are available in a ton of sizes, cost not that much, and win every tire comparison they enter for the best balance of dry grip, wet grip, noise, wear, and overall handling feel... I like my Yokohama Parada Spec 2s and love the tread pattern, and they rock in the dry, but suck in the wet and are noisy.

if I had paid $300 for this tire, I still would have been happy, and I didn't pay half that. BUT, I still wish I got the eagle f1s.

yea i kinda didn't really wanna go with kumho's again. i've heard a lot of negatives about them and even mine got that bubble. i checked out that eagle f1's and they actually were the top ranking tire in Car and Driver with other high perfromance tires so i think i'm gonna go with those. on sale for $88 each at tire rack! sweet. emoji

if anyone needs new tires in a 215/45/17 size tire rack has an awesome deal on the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's.. they're one of the top rated tires on their site and the number 1 rated tire in Car and Driver's testing of all the top summer performance tires.

They're goin for $88 each which is like $70 off the regular price. emoji

I don't know if they are still around, but I used to have some Phantom HRX's in 225/45/17... those things kicked ass, but they were noisy.

Now I have some Hankook Ventus HRII (forgot the number after that)... Cheap and nice and quiet.... decent tire if you want cheap at www.edgeracing.com

I use Cooper Zeon 2xS. They have a short live span around 180-200 but AA Trac and AA Temp. They are amazing tires and I have never rolled the tire over when autocrossing. about $95 a tire. On my second set and I have really enjoyed them. My only complaint is I feel there is quite abit of road noise compared to other tires...
