ive got all the shit to do the rear disc conversion, but these calipers look like shit, and im afraid the slide pins have a bunch of shit in there. any ideas as to what i should do?i was just going to wire brush the calipers, paint them. and put new grease on the pins...but how in the HELL do i get the old grease out? what have you guys done?

Wire brush/wheel the exterior castings but don't tear up the seals or weather boots. Clean up the slide pins and use a small bottle brush or pipe cleaners to get any nasty grease out. If the weather boots were sealed it should not be that bad inside them. Once assembled you should be able to slide them in and out with a little effort but they don't need to be easily moved.
The slide pins are slightly different. There are some pics on my website that show you the difference and which hole they go in.

Use navel(sp?) jelly not the stuff that you get from your belly button but from home depot paint it on wait like 30 min use alot then scrub with a steel brush and rinse and repeat if needed. works very well.
wallmart has a dremel on sale for like 50 bucks 5 bucks for a few steel cleaning brushes and go to town (works well too)
