alright guys im a dumb ass first off okay. so anyways. my power steering belt snapped last night so i bought a new one today and put it on somehow but the belts loose and i do not know where the tensioner is or what to do. ive done it before on this car too but im a moron. so i forgot could someone refresh my memmory of where the tensioner itslef is?

right by the thermostat neck
close to the passenger side headlight area.
right about the power steering pump/ac unit

Mine is on my couch, right side under some foamy wrappy stuff.. Haha! I know exactly where mine is.

You could always just follow the belt and see what looks like a tensioner.

the tensioner pulley bolt is left-threaded, so turn it to the left to tighten it.. maybe that was your problem.

the pump also pivots on the mounting brackets to tighten/loosen the belt. this's also the fast way to change belts. unlock the bolts (3 i think) and make sure your pump is as far foward (front of car) in the bracket it can go. use a crow bar or something to force it foward. then just tighten the bolts. after that if it's still loose then you need to tighten the tension bolt.
