Hey all, I have a question refering to removing the front wheel hub. I have everything loosen and the bolt for the damper fork and lower lateral arm is not coming out. Is there a trick to it like, do I need to support the shock or something or should the damm thing just slide out the nut comes off, but the bolt turns the rubber insert and won't come out. I tried wacking with a hammer and still nothing and now it's soaking with some PB. This my first time it seems pretty straight forward, I just don't want to damage anything and have to replace something.

Are you trying to remove just the hub? By what it sounds like, you are trying to remove the knuckle.

If it is just the hub. Remove the bolt that holds the axle on (32mm). Remove all of the brake stuff: Caliper, Mounting bracket, and Rotor. There will be a couple of small bolts holding the dust shield onto the knuckle. Once that is off there are 4 15 or 17mm bolts holding the hub in the knuckle.

Once all of those are off take a cold chisle (or equivalent) and pound away from the backside of the hub (where the hub meets the knuckle, NOT where the part that the wheel/rotor attaches to). Once there is a gap between the hub and knuckle you may use a prybar.

I have to remove the knuckle I can't fit a wrench in there to remove the bolts from the hub, the drive shaft boot is in the way. Unless there is a way, but even then I don't think I can remove the bolts due to the drive shaft boot.

Remove the nut from the axle, the 32mm one. You will be able to push the axle back barely enough to fit a wrench in behind it.

You might need to pound on the axle to free it, but make sure to leave the nut on the axle enough so that you hit the nut, not the threads on the axle.

Yeah, it helps to use you knee or something to push the axle back so you can fit the wrench back there, it's a tight fit, but it's possible, I've done it many times.

Dude you rule! It worked like a piece of cake! I all need to do is get my new rotors and put my new brakes and I'll be hot rodding in no time! I bought a 8" 3 jaw puller set from a store called Harbor Frieght that sells tools for cheap, it has a 3.75 ton capacity. It worked great for pushing the axle in so I could install the new hub! Thanks a Bunch!!!
