#27990, "widest tire combo on factory wheels"

What are the widest tires that will fit on my factory Talon wheels? I know that different manufactures effect width also, what works the best? Right now I have 215/55/16.

I'd say you are maxed out on you width.
what are you looking to do with the car?

I have seen 225's on the stock 16" wheels. IT LOOKED REDICULOUS!!!!

Bulged too much on the sidewalls, and the profile looked hideous too. Not to mention, I dont think that there would have been any performance gain.

I've seen some many AWD eclipses/talons with wider tires, I just really like the look. I never been able to get close enough to the cars I've seen to get a size. Maybe its 225/50/16

It is indeed 225/50/16 but that's pushing it.

I've seen 225's on a 6" rim so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
