i've had a set of nitto 450's 215/35/18zr tires for about a year, after about 6 months one of the tires' belts blew on the inside firewall (the inside of the tire was mush and full of bumps), and one other tire had one or 2 bumps just nippling out...well i got them both replace for free b/c of the tire warrantee i got when i bought all four....WELL, its happened again and i'm getting sick of the hassle, is this normal for 18's? (or sould i ask is this normal for nitto's?)...either way i'm thinking of just selling the whole set rims and all and using the $$ toward a turbo

no but its normal for the 450s. hate to say i told you so but you shoulda splurged the extra, what $20 and gotten the 555s. if you can get nitto to swap these 450s for 555s tell them you are super pissed and want the 555s. worst case scenario, they say no and you pay the difference in price and get the 555s.

any reason why this happens? and why not on the 555s?...ok, i'll try for the 555's...i'll let you know what happens, i got the tires from Discount Tire Direct, so i'll call them first

yeah i got my package from discount, theyre pretty good. the reason it happens is that the 450 is an older tire, the 555 is a much newer design (maybe 2 years old) its a completely different rubber compound so its not related in any way to the problems associated with the 450s, i have just always heard of problems with those
