#2693, "Comparison pics of shocks"

Nice pic from the RRE site that shows Koni Yellow, Tokico Illumina and AGX shock bodies side by side (along with what I think is a ShokTech coil over)

Note how much longer the red AGX body is. If you have lowered your car, these shocks are going to have bottoming problems because there is a lot less shock travel left.

Mike W recommends the Koni's or Illumina's for lowered cars. AGXs are good for stock height cars.

Does KYB have a shock that will work on a lowered 95 eclipse?

I've got the AGX on my car with stock springs, they are great.

I think the AGX should be fine if you do a mild drop (1 inch) any more than that and you could then run into problems.

Juan said its probably a ShockTech coilover. They are probably real racing coilovers which RRE sells for around $700 or so...

Cars and haven't had too many problems. Stan has said his are fine - Someone else just did a drop with H&R springs although I don't know how much of a drop - maybe I will try to use my coilovers with the AGX - and see how that goes - Not sure yet - thanks for the pic though...

2003 VW GTI 1.8t.. I used to have a 95 Eclipse but well...water sucks.
