I just put my car back on the road this week and the first time i took it out I heard a grinding noise coming from the rear driver side wheel. It starts as soon as I accelerate but goes away after I hit about 20. I also noticed that the noise stops as soon as I step on the brake. Any help would be much appreciated.

GS or RS? Pull off the wheel and check your pads/shoes. Why was it 'off' the road/ what did you to it while it wasn't on the road? Stupid possibility would be that the parking brake may be slightly engaged. If you know it goes away when you hit the brakes then check the braking system.

Its a GS. If the parking brake is somehow engaged how do i go abouts getting it to release? I plan on checking everything out this weekend when i get the chance. And I just put it back on the road this week because driving it during the winter in upstate NY really sucks balls.

parking brake is on the pass side so its not that. could just be rust from sitting a while or a problem with the brake shoes (I think you have drums in the rear correct. could just be the shoes dragging, there is an adjsutment cam for those
