I have a problem. All of my lower ball joints are trashed... trashed to the point theres about 1/8" play in them. According to satan the recall was done in 2001 and they inspected them and sealed them (glued them shut). Well I need to get them fixed cause my alignment is soo bad it pulls hard to one direction and my tires are going bad every 4 months or so. I was quoted $600 per side with parts and service. Granted i can do it myself and just pay for the parts...

Should i call and complain to mitsu on there 800 number and see if i can get them replaced under the recall or should i just fork out 400 for all the parts and do it myself.

Call and see where you can get with Mtisu. IF they tell you to bend over, then I would buy the parts on your own and fix it. The lower arms are easy to replace.

the recall stays open until the parts have been replaced. the glue/lube option does not close your recall, so you recall is still open until the parts have been replaced. so call and bitch till its replaced.

OK I just talked to them and they said they will look at them and replace the control arm. The compression arm is not part of the recall. Is this true?

all is good. The compression arms were in good shape no need to replace. They did replace my control arms at no cost.

I called the 800 number and bitched about it until the guy called the dealership and told them to replace them. The number is 1-888-648-7820.
