#25936, "Ratchet and clank noise"

I hardly ever post since I usualy fix the problem and know my car inside out. I just wanna know if anyone else had this problem. For the last 2 days now, I've been hear random clank clank noise coming from beneath the rear somewhere. Has anyone else had this problem? right now I'm just baffled.

check the usual there spark plug..lol. Bushings maybe shocks, maybe even exhaust. take a look into the bearing hubs and make sure they are not going south. do you have ABS that could make a ratcheting noise.

for some reason I was hoping no one would mention hub bearing. It's a distinct loud clank noise that just sounds off randomly when car is in motion. I don't have ABS. If it's the hub bearing, then I might as well upgrade to rear disc.

wel the rear abs has a toothed wheel thats why i said that. jack it up and wobble the wheel see if it moves around. Are you sure its not shocks?

I'm not even sure. I figure if it was the stock shox, then the noise would occur during bumpy rides. But it just happens randomly.

I have a blown rear shock and it only makes noise over sharp bumps. The ass end likes to hop around too.
It's probably something else...

I used to get that after my 3" exhaust install. My suspension tech sway bar was getting bummped by the pipe.
