I found a great deal on some 18x7.5 rims, the offset is +45mm. I want to make sure these will fit on my Eclipse before I buy them. I'm planning on using 225/40/18 tires and eventually lowering my car with a Tokico Blue spring/strut combo (1.5"). Any ideas?

should fit as long as you don't lower any more.

Wouldn't they rub on the control arm? I know with the stock 16" wheels, they're +46mm offset with a 205 tire and you can barely get a finger between the tire and the upper control arm.

If they do rub, you'd need to get some 2 or 3mm spacers to bring the wheels out a little bit.

Bump, i'm getting ready to buy these rims this week and want to make sure they'll fit. I'm not lowered yet, so will I be OK until then? Any info would be great, thanks.

Worst case scenario you just biy some small spacers... go ahead and get them.
