#25105, "couple of questions involving rear disk swap"

Hey guys/gals, I need to pick some of your brains...
1) Are the e-brake cables from a RS the same as the GS+ models?
2) If not, will they work anyway or can they be made to work and work properly?
3) Will the brake lines from a RS work on the rear disk setup of the GS+ models?

Thanks!

I used the same cable from my RS drum brakes when I did my disc swap, I just had to dril out the hole on the back of the dust shields a little so that the cable would fit in a little better.

I also used the RS e brake line. I didn't want to run new ebrake cables. Just drill the hole bigger in the dust sheild so the line fits through. you might have to adjust the tension on the ebrake handle after you are done to make sure they are not engaged.

hmm .. good to know.. i was ripping everything off the parts car to sell a guy everything he need to do the swap.. i was thinking i had to take the e-brake cables too.

(edit) just out of curiousity, how much did u guys pay for the parts to do the swap.. i think i'm practically giving this away at $80.. maybe a price renegotiation should be considered.

Anyone know anyone who can help me tune this in the Pittsburgh area (Greensburg)?

I got my swap setup for a steal, 50 bux... both complete rear knuckles with lower control arms and sway bar. The junk yard was about to close and the owner just wanted to go home so he hooked me up. I didn't get the e-brake cables due to lack of time and the car's frame was sitting on the ground.

I paid $125 for mine, I probably could have found some for a little less if I looked a little harder, but I just got some GSX front brakes for $60 emoji
