When you grind off the perches on the Tokico Blue struts for use with a coilover setup, how do you stop the coilover sleeve from sliding down the strut? I would find it hard to believe that three hex screws that are supplied to center the sleeve are the only thing stopping the coilover from sliding down the strut, there's got to be too much pressure there. Do you weld another perch on the strut? I know that you've got/are getting the Koni Yellows with the removeable perches. How do you make it work? Thanks.

no you grind off almost all of the perch but leave a small section on there that will allow you to slide the sleeve over the perch but will have a rasied area for you to let the hex screws rest on. the screws will not hold the collar up if there is nothing for them to rest on. on the konis, there is a small ring where the removeable koni perch sits, so the coilover sleeve will fit over that.
On the tokicos the ring inside of the collar would actually sit on the little weld part I believe. Yeah I dont know if I would trust it on there, but thats what the guy (who also owns an eclipse ) said who works for skunk2....
yeah thats with skunks, GC's or maxspeeds, the other brands collars dont have a ring inside them, they have holes for three allen screws. they suck ass
