I've been reading up on the cheapest way to lower my car.. so far Dropzones and Teins seem the cheapest, but the Dropzones are crap for some reason (how can a spring suck?) and the Teins are like a stock replacement that doesn't lower the car much at all. What other well-priced options do I have for lowering my car 1.5-2"? Eibach Prokits, Sportlines are favorites of the import scene but what about Maxspeed, Ractive, or Goldline springs??

If you want a solid drop, get some Eibach Sportsline. Personally, cheap coilovers are not worth spending money. I know ebay has some cheap coilovers for like $80. Don't get them. They bottom out. The spring quality are so shitty, they don't have enough spring travling which gives poor driving quality. I love my Pro-kits with my bodykit. I say Eibach IMO with some adjustable shocks.

my suggestion for a cheap springs for free is cut your stock spring. ghetto way. it will lower your car and still have good ride. haha. its up to u. it works! or go to ebay for cheap springs. buy those tokico that comes in a set with shocks and springs. nice sets!

My buddy lowered his car that way. It was okay, I guess, consideing it cost him Zero Dollars, but I was hoping to hold onto my stock springs to raise the car up again in winter.

and please dont go cheap on suspension parts, if you cant do it right dont do it, youll hate yourself when you do all the work to install cheap parts and then just bitch at how the ride sucks, then bitch more when the cheapo's collapse and you have to go buy another set.

Springs weigh a lot and shipping to Canada is always like triple what it is to the States. I'm not going cheap on struts - it just doesn't make any sense to me why I should waste so much money on a bunch of products that are all almost exactly the same.

Eibach, I believe is ISO 9001 or 9002 certified. That is a big deal and that's why they are so popular. They make great parts consistently, not just by chance. And as far as having to have them shipped into Canada, are you sure you can't get them through a local place? I mean hell I know Canada is different from the States, but I bet there is someone else up there that likes to mod cars.

I have teins and i have absolutley no complaints.Imo their a great spring.My car rides like a caddy and while i do have a little body roll they stick the corners just as good if not better than more expensive springs.Just my 2 cents

If you are worried about cost try to find some used ones. They are always forsale in the foresale section. Also Try going through a canadian distributer. I bet you didnt think of that!
Cutting springs is so fucking retarded its not worth the time and effort.
Get springs and shocks at the same time, Otherwise you have to do the same job twice. Because your shocks will blow in a month or two.
