I'm wanting to keep my tire size as close as possible so my speedo stays the same, so I have to go with a 235/40/18 on an 18x8 rim. Will I have any problems with rubbing with this size tire? will I have to roll the fender? and how far can I drop w/o rubbing?

This size keeps my speedo correct, but it is much wider than the stock 215/50/17.

Thanks guys.

You wont have any problems with that size on stock height. Lowering, I'm not sure but I think could get away with a 1.5" drop.
