#23784, "E-Brake is to long!"

Does anyone here think our e-brakes are way to long and obtrusive. Well I did... and finally cut, shortened and lowered it. I wanted a clean look to my consol and a clearer path to my carputer touch screen. It's still functional and you don't even know it's there.

Just wanted to post so everyone knew someone was dumb enough to do this. I'm very happy with the results. Good for show.

I will post some pics as soon as I can get ahold of a friends camera.

No, I did away with the button and plugged the hole. I still need to fabricate a way to lock it into place. (I was in a hurry to get the dang thing out of the way.) Or maybe I won't... I have an automatic and all I'm really worried about is having it there in case I were to ever to lose my brakes.

how do you get the lever to release? i haven't looked at it close enough to see how it works but it seems like if you chopped the button off there's no brake release.

I didn't chop the bottom... I only cut approximately 5-6 inches from the middle of the brake handle and welded it back together. This not only shortened it but lowered it as well. I'm still working on the release part of the project.
