Alright, initially I was just gonna go with Tein SS. A friend of mine advised against that though, saying that as they are Japan made and while they can be rebuilt, they would have to be shipped overseas. He also said that the shocks were designed specifically for the spring rates that they ship with, so it I wasn't happy with those I couldn't really do much about it. He recommended Koni Yellows, with Ground Control coilovers, as Konis can be rebuilt/revalved domestically and GCs offer custom spring rates.
Now, he *is* a Honda driver (not a ricer though, he actually knows his shit in many aspects and I respect him as an enthusiast), so I figured I would ask what you guys recommend. This will be a daily driver, with occasional weekend runs at the track.
Any help would kickass, points to those who can help me figure this out (and aren't just talking out their asses ;p).

get the tein ss. if you don't like them, i am sure that someone here will buy them. plus you will spend prolly almost just as much of the gc's and konis as you would for the teins. i have heard great things about the teins, so that is my answer.

Tein has a So-Cal based headquarters in 9798 Firestone Blvd,Downey,CA 90241. With that being said Tein also gives customers the choice of CUSTOM SPRING RATES, but it must be ordered directly. Your friend's arguement about Tein's not able to be rebuilt/revalved domestically should not hinder you from choosing Tein. Full coilovers are far superior to coilover sleeve and shock setups.
The Koni Yellows + Ground Control setup is more economical, but in the end you get what you pay for. Spending time on autoX courses has made me more confident about Tein proformance. I have the Tein SS.

1) Yes I am using the default spring rates: i think its 200 ish Front and back. I prefer the higher spring rates.
2) I don't know why your so persistent on rebuild questions. I do not know the lifespan of their coilovers, but i'm almost 99% sure that none have failed yet. The only problem i'am aware of are users incorrectly turning the dampening knob to far. I did not spend almost $1000.00 just to think about rebuilding the coilovers.
I used to hang around a dumb ass who always told me how Kyb AGX's are better because they could be rebuilt/revalved. I don't talk to him anymore.

Sorry, if I'm shelling out $800 for these things, I wanna know that they can be rebuilt in the future so I'm not out another $800. Also, since this is my only car at the moment (except my fiancee's automatic SOHC Saturn), if something goes screwy every moment of downtime is costing me.

I have pro kit and AGX's and they are nice and get the job done but I really wish I would have saved a little more for teins. But at the time i thought they were all super expensive. After autocrossing i really am thinking about upgrading to teins in the future, true coilovers a far superior to spring/shocks. I wouldn't worry about rebuilds, I bet you will never need that, only road racers rebuild usually. And if you do get a rebuild I bet TEIN USA can do it domestically, not sure though.
