Yeah I have the 1yr. warrantee, and I got a curb rash. How was the turn around? Did you send the rims first, of do they send you a rim, then you can send the damaged one so their will be no downtime?

Umm by curb rash I think you mean you scraped it against a curb. The warranty does not cover any damage that you cause. It only covers manufacturing defects such as the paint peeling off for no reason, or some other structural integrity issue. I'm pretty sure it doesn't even cover if you hit a pothole and bend it either. That's all owner accidents, not manufacturing defects according to most manufacturers.

When I was ordering the rims, the guys sold me this 1 yr warrantee that states for any reason that their is damage to the rim, then I can send it in and get another one. It was one of those extra warrantees that you buy, like those protection policies from best buy and circuit city...

Consdidering I just ordered the same wheels from the same place not a month ago, I do remember the guy offering me that additional warranty. I passed since I'm pretty sure my insurance will cover them a lot longer than 1 year. emoji I'd say give em a call and see what they say. It would suck to have to send in the old one and wait. emoji

I got my rims from wheelmax. The warranty is a road hazard warranty and should replace it. Might wanna wait till you are sure there is no more snow this year. That's what I am doing, I got a little curb rash in the snow. As for turn around, I have no idea, but I am 99.999% sure that they will replace it. If not I will be pissed cause that is sure the way they made it sound.

You gotta read the fine print, I find it hard to believe that wheelmax would be selling something that covers accidental damage to your wheels.

^^ yeah no shit, that'd be like buying a new car and wrecking it and telling the dealer to fix it for free, haha.
