i was speaking to michaelrs yesturday about this. he gave me some brands. i was just wondering if there are an shocks that can cope with heavy potholes and everyday driving. im rolling stock now but want something that will absorb. there are hundreds of new potholes around me now and i havent noted all of them yet. i hit a bad one last week and it seems i have blown a shock ... or worse a strut

Where you tinking of heavy duty and still rather "soft" shocks or super stiff shocks?
The Illuminas and their lifetime warranty are probably the best bet, but if you want REALLY stiff, rattle your teeth and body panels loose shocks, look into the KYB GABs.

DSMs do not have shocks, struts at each corner.
Check below where the spring perch is on the suspected strut to see if it is leaking at all.
