#2181, "Coilovers or Springs........"

OK first of all let me apologize.... I am getting my car lowered at the sametime I am getting my Strada bodykit.....Also getting new exhaust.... Question is should I get springs or coilovers??? Can someone tell me the difference besides the obvious adjustability..... I am looking at maxspees or skunk2...Are the skunks worth the extra money....Also I might not be able to buy the shocks at the sametime...Is this going to jack everything up... I can get them at the same time if I have too... Also can anyone recommend a good exhaust... I will pay the money for a greddy or tanabe if they are worth the six bills, but what about magnaflow and so on..... Told you guys I had to apologize..... Thanks everyone in advance for your help.................

apologize for what? asking questions? thats why were here. you are perfectly ok to run coilovers or springs with stock struts, especially if they are fairly new. just replace them later. go with coilovers, but only if youre getting one of the good three (GC, skunk, or maxspeed) the maxspeeds are actually cheaper than most springs ($150) and they ride almost as well. if your not planning on going lower than 2" get springs, if youre planning to go lower than 3", i dont know what to tell you, youre looking at a bad ride quality but thats what it takes, trust me i know. if you want to go lower than 3" and cant afford at least the cheapest full coilovers ($800) then you will have to do something custom like i did.

Get the Tanabe exhaust...it's not $600, it's more like $4-500. Pluse I think it's the cleanest sounding, and looking. But it's your choice. Greddy and Tanabe do the research for more HP and are 50 state legal. But it's really your choice.

And Cyan is right, he has had the experience with EVERY SUSPENTION SET UP!! emoji

Hey thanks guys...... I think I found my dream car.... If you saw in super street a few months back a 2001 eclipse, silver with matching dash by wet works, well anyway met the guy tonight at 1:30 in the morning at my gym in Irvine..... Freaking sweetest damn thing I have ever seen... He had I think he said dragger exhaust by HKS and axis hyper black 19" x 8"....Nicest thing I have ever seen..... but anyways I am debating whether to get a tanabe or just gs-t exhaust...What do you think.

im confused, i know robert wilson (owner of modern image) owned a silver 3G with matching dash, 19s, the works, it was in super street, then i see him in import tuner and the car is yellow, with a yellow dash, still on 19s though. is it even the same car? i guess if it was silver when you saw it just now its two different cars, i would have bet my life that robert was the owner of the silver one in SS, unless that bastard owns two.

I think the silver one is a hardtop and the yellow is a convertible. So they are probably different cars.

Ok, I think this is what is going on with that 3g owned by robert wilson.... The guy that I keep seeing is Saudi arabian and I believe he bought the car off of robert..... It is the car that was in SS...It is also in the Fast and the Furious this summer...Let me tell you guys , you have never seen anything like this..... But I think he did buy it off of robert.... Wanna know the saddest part about the whole thing..... He still has to pay for the simplest of things... I asked him if he was able to get anything on the car for free and he was like NO.... I guess he didn't even get money from speedoptions.com.....Sucks for him....
