Sup guys.
A quick question.
I read all about GSX front brake caliper upgrades and I got all the parts.
But I want to ask about the bleed value on it?
Do I have to release brake fluid pressure or something to get everything set after I install the new caliper?

You have to bleed the brakes if that is what you are asking. Get speed bleeders from hondazone if you wanna do it yourself or get someone else to push on the pedal while you release the pressure and tighten it back. Do that a couple times to get the air outta the lines.

Speed bleeders don't need to be opened and closed like a normal bleed screw. Open it a 1/4 to 1/2 turn and the check valve does the job. It's a one man job with them. I love speed bleeders.

Any time you disconnect any brake lines, you have to ble3d the brakes or you will have air in the brake lines, and your brakes will not work properly.

ok..thanks for telling me..
so I DEFINITELY need to bleed my brake after I install the GSX caliper.
But I want to asks, where do I bleed? do I have to bleed both side as well?

Is that silver nipple thing is the bleed value? do I unscrew it?
or get the "speed bleed" from autozone and screw it in?
Also when I was bleeding, will brake fluid shoots out?

Yeah speed bleeders make it a one man job. Yes the silverish nipple on the calipers you unscrew and have someone pump the brakes if you dont have the speed bleeders when the air/fluid squirts out then tighten the nipple back down pump the brake and do it again. Brake fluid will squirt out of it so have a towel/bucket/cup or whatever handy. Yes you need to do both sides. You will prolly have to add brake fluid to the reservoir after bleeding each side just so check the level as you bleed them to be safe. Hope that helps

If you have OEM bleeders then you need to turn them about a half turn or so, how ever much is needed to get the fluid/bubbles to squirt out.

Assuming you have someone holding the pedal down for you, you loosen until fluid comes out, then tighten immediately. The person pumps again a few times and holds it, then you loosen/tighten again. Do that until there are no more bubbles/milky looking brake fluid coming. After bleeding a corner of the car refill the master cylinder because if that gets to low while bleeding you have to start over.

AND WATCH OUT! DO NOT GET BRAKE FLUID ON PAINT!!

1) While I was bleeding the brakes, do I keep the brake resevior cap open? or closed?

BTW, just curious, I painted my calpier red, but when DON"T get brake fluid on paint? eat right through??

Keep the cap off, same effects as a milk jug with a cap and hole in it.

Keep the fluid off your calipers, it will fade them.
