ok guys as it stands i have managed to eat up my tires yet again...waaay to fast i i might add...i had nankang ns1's from wheelmax.com and they were great, but didn't last...traction was excellent and even with a t3/t4 turbo got me a 2.2 60' time...anyways i am asking you all what tires you have, how the traction is...launch traction that is...couldn't care less about cornering...how many miles ypu have had them and how they are holding up...thanks.

I have Yokohama AVS ES100's (215/45/ZY17). I absolutely love them, great launch traction (that soft silica compound) and I've had them for about 15k miles and the tread is still looking great. They were only $97 a peice too at tirerack.com, and had close to the best tire rating in the Ultra High Performance catagory. I would have bought the Yokohama Parada Spec-II's (same price) but they didn't have them in a 45 series for a 17" rim. They are made out of the same compound just a different tread pattern.

I have Fisk Phantom HRX's 225/45/17's they are awesome. sticky as hell (with normal tires I can burn 1,2, and chirp 3) now these I can barely roast 1, and chirp 2. cornering is good too.... but wet conditions? FORGET IT!.

oh yeah $145ea. at DiscountTire.

had them for going on 2 years and they are still good.

I've got Kumho 712's on mine and they grip really well. I don't race a lot, but they bite hard. They last long, too. I'm at about 26,000 miles on my current set.
