Whoever said that is mistaken... All eclipses/talons 95-99 have the same susp. setup therefore any bar that will fit a 95-98 will also fit your car. You must be looking at a bar on Ebay. A lot of the sellers on there for some reason seem to get the 2G and the 3G mixed up. Although the 3G was introduced in 1999 it was considered a 2000 car. don't worry bout it.

There's a battery tie down bolt on 1999's (and some other years) that blocks an upper STB install. Just bust out a 1/4" drill and make a hole for it in the STB. 5 minute fix, doesn't cause any problems.

Yeah, I was looking at that the other night when I was replacing my battery. There is a tie down bolt that will block the front STB. On the left side I have a hose that will block on that side as well..
I ordered teh rear strut bar for my 96 and tracked it. Said it was delivered yesterday morning at 8:20pm. So far no one has seen it. So it looks like some one stole it. Oh well...

mine's a 95 and i ordered my ractive stb from sounddomain and i HAVE a battery tie down bolt on the drivers side... didn't cause me any problems. there was already a cutout on the mounting pieces...
of course this still has no relevance to the question posed. from what i know there is not difference in the 99's...

Don't worry it well fit. I have a 99 and the ractive rear strut bar. But i wish thay made the brakets a little bit stronger. Hope that clears up that. Later

That's Mobil1 10W-30.
I took the pic immediately after my engine blew. The engine kicked a full quart through the head and out the breather tube, which exploded out my catchcan and... well... that's what it looked like.
If you ever wanna talk someone out of buying a turbokit, show em that pic.
