I did the rear drum to disk conversion yesterday! I have blead the rear brakes 10 times and the front 3 times. I also blead from the master cylindar. I instaled new hard lines from autozone, and have checked for leaks. The only thing I can think of is the air booster has gone out. Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself...

where the hell is the ceiling?

do you have any brake peddle pressure? Does the pressure build up to the point that you can't push it in any more when you pump it?

I would say that you need to bleed them, but since you already have... have you bled them before (i.e. are you sure you're doing it correctly?).

If you have no pressure, there's only three scenarios I can think of.

1) Air in the lines
2) You're leaking fluid somewhere. This should be obvious by the puddle of fluid near the leak.
3) There's no fluid in the lines.

Do you have the brake fluid reservoir cap on

When I push the brake pedal it goes to the floor, but when I pump it about 3 times it builds pressure. Then if I wait about 5 seconds and push the brake again, it goes to the floor(no pressure). When I bleed the calipers, there are no air bubbles. This means no air, correct?

i think when you bleed the brakes.. you've to bleed at all four corners systematically... check in chiltons.

Best idea ever. Makes bleeding a one person job and you cant mess up. I installed these on all four corners when I did my GSX conversion and they are well worth the money!!

Yes, you do bleed your brakes systematically. Start at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder. Continue bleeding them going from furthest to closest. So, rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver. Also, be sure that your car is either level or the rear is slightly higher. This will allow the air to flow up to the rear and be bled first.

Also, I agree that speed bleeders are a wise investment.
