#20832, "Horrible creaking sound when turning - scared!!"
Hey guys - I have a 1995 GS and since I bought the car I have been hearing this sound everytime I turn to the right from a stop on acceleration. It sounds like it is coming from the front right of the car (next to the wheel) as a hard creaking, as if some kind of metal is being pulled or bent or something. I have no way of looking at it myself I'm just wondering on what you guys think it is? It happens even if i accelerate hard going straight - but only from the front right, its most noticeable when turning right - as if when stress is placed on that wheel? Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Your not the only one on this, cuz' I'm having this problem too. Do you have a camber kit in your car. Eversince I installed this I've been having this. It's only coming to the right front, I've check all of the bolts and they are all tight. I also check the alignment and its in spec. I can't figure where this creaking sound coming from?

yea, it does sound like a ball joint problem. I'd had my recall done awhile and when i took it to the shop two days ago, i found out that the ball joint was really going bad even after i did the recall. If you would've brought the car for a while, you should've gotten some mail about the this recall. you can check if you jack up your car and shake the wheels in and out, AND up and down, if there's movement then your ball joints are bad. I've also had a problem last year from with clicking from a bend control arm too. BTW: if your car is clicking and you can hear it, it's porbaly been clicking for a while. you should stop driveing it altogether, if the ball joint break off, you're gonna need new control arms, ball joints, fender, wheel, and maybe tire. HEH good luck
