Are 19x7.5 rims to narrow? I was also wondering if the ride with 19's are rougher than 18's and can you take courners just as good? Also what is the biggest size tire that will fit with my car being lowered on eibach prokits wich is around 1.2 inch drop.

I don't know about 19's...I would think that the ride is a little rougher than 18's. I'm on 225/40 18's with stock suspension, and my car handles great, especially in the twisties. I did have to replace both of my passenger-side wheels when I hit a pothole 3 years ago. I think you'd be better off with the 18's...I think 19's would be too fragile - just my opinion. 18's are in my sig..

no that's fine i have 19x7.5 racing harts with 225/35/19 and the ride is great..its all a bunch of bull that they ride worse than and other smaller rims..i actually have a good amount of side wall..my car is daily driven in the summer and i have had no problems at all just compliments..cornering is great i love them wouldnt even think of putting anything smaller on my eclipse..i would go with 225/35's i have coilovers and i am 3inches lowered in the rear and 2.5 in the front and i have never had a problem rubbing..the overall diameter of the rims and tires is just a tiny bit bigger than the stock 16's..i did get my rear inner fender grinded out and the front rolled..19's are just as strong as any other smaller wheel i think its gay that they are always criticied..

you think it rides good with rims and stock suspension, wait til you upgrade your suspension. it will be a world of difference

19x8's here. i hate the ride... but that's only because my struts and shocks are blown and i haven't installed the air ride yet. other than that i'd say the ride was the exact same as with my 18's only cornering has even less roll. i'm lowered 1.75" on intrax springs right now. haven't rubbed one time in 8 months. (even on big bumps)

Yeah, I can't wait to stiffen up the ride a little. Plus, I love the look of all the lowered Eclipse's i've seen on this board. I'd like to put 19's on, but our town doesn't do a good job at maintaining our roads.

I had 19x8.5s on my eclipse lowered 2" on 225/35s and never rubbed or had any road issues with them, car gripped and handled fine, I had a set of 19x8s before that and some 18s. The 18s drove about the same but they had a 45 series tire so a lil smoother but thats about the only reason why. a 7.5 seems narrow to me, but if your not doing anything crazy, just driving it should be fine.
