They crossdrill/slot the rotors and then cad plate them if you get that option. You could also save a few $ and just paint the rotors with engine high temp paint(ceramic silver color looks good). Let the rotors dry a overnight to ensure it is completely dry and this way the paint will not stick to your rim. Two light coats will do, any more and the paint will stick to your rim.

I paid for the silver cad plating option and am happy with the results and corrosion protection it provides. No external rust!

Not to throw you a sales pitch, but S&A Motorsports(501-450-6333) is a dealer and can make you a better price than cyberauto. The parts can be drop shipped directly from the manufacturer.

Hey Deano, what price owuld a set of 4 run you at S&A? The cheapest I've found a set of KVRs with cadmium plating is $458 for all 4.

Be careful with cross-drilled rotors. I had a pair of Brembos on my eclipse with some aftermarket pads. Well the enividable happened, they cracked on me. They make nice paper wieghts though. If i werent doing a custom brake set-up now, i'd just get the AEM rotors. just my .02

AEM rotors are cross drilled too.

After a few brake applications, the paint is gone from the surface and all that is left(everywhere the pad does not touch. is a nice silver/black/red/orange/purple finish. I suggest doing your calipers while you are at it. Engine enamel sticks real well and will dry in a few minutes on the them. I use rags to cover every place in the wheel well that I do not want a bit of over spray on.
