So yea, I'm thinking I need to replace my CV Boot. That's a lot of greese don't you think? Also, I'm guessing I should inspect the CV joint and possibly just get a remanufactured axel? The boot is torn too.

I'd replace the whole axle it is so much easier than replacing the whole boot and all the grease, it's just not worth the effort. Your axle probably was contaminated with dirt and sand and later down the road your joint could pop off. Alvin

Hmm.. this is strange. Today when I started my car it made the same noise, but at idle! I did not even take my parking brake off and it was making the noise a lot in neutral! Is this still the CV joint? But how could it be, your not moving? My understanding is that CV joints are seperate from the rotation of the motor. CV = constant velocity = no acceleration. So taking into account they are independent of one another, why would the CV joint make any noise when not moving since it is independent of the engine?

Does it sound like "crishcrishcrishcrishcrich" ? A dry, metallic hiss that goes away when you push the clutch in? That would be the clutch throwout bearing. My advice: Ignore it. It's noisy, it sounds like ass, i know - It's not going to hurt anything for tens of thousands of miles. Any clutch replacement comes with a new TO bearing, just replace it then, while you are there.

Yes - But not always. At idle it will stop when I push the clutch in and start when I let it out. If I'm rolling and like let's say in 1st gear and it starts, when I push the clutch in it doesn't stop all the time. The sound is what you described though.
