are they any good cause my buddy gave me one that he bought for his except he cant install a rear bar on a spyder. How much do they go for and where can i get a front one.

IMO an STB is an STB. Some are heavier than others, but they all do the same thing. I felt a little difference in cornering and response, but def not enough to justify spending what other brands might cost. My Bombz front and rear STBs were $30 together.
