Having a few problems with my braking system. first of all, my ABS light will come on from time to time. it stays on for a few days at a time, then goes away for a while. i had to make a pretty quick stop in the rain and didn't lock up, so i assume the system is still working. second issue is that when i brake, the whole car rattles like crazy hell. what could cause this? i'm completely clueless when it comes to these types of things.
When you say "rattles" , do you mean "shakes and shimmys"? If the steering wheel is shaking in your hand and your brake pedal is pulsing bad (NOT like when ABS is working) as you press harder on the brake, it is probably warped front brake rotors. If you feel it in the seat of your pants and also the brake pedal, but not as bad on the steering wheel, it is probably warped rear rotors or drums. Best bet is to replace the rotors or drums in question. Cutting them on the machine is just a temp fix. GOOD LUCK

i kinda suspected it might be the rotors... the steering wheel is what i can feel shaking the most, so i'll have the front rotors checked out... thanks guys.
