Sometimes when I hit the brakes HARD my car seems liek it wants to drift slightly to the side. I dont mean when the tires a locked I am talkign about just beign on the brakes hard with the tires still rolling. What can cause this?

The angle of the road can def cause that. When I brake hard on grooved road, my tires will follow the groove.

If the road is old and slanted that will cause your tires to move towards that direction when you brake.

It can also be your castor of your wheels.

it may mean that one of your calipers is working harder than the other one in the front. maybe take them off and look at them, make sure one isn't sticking

Bleed your brakes and check your pads. Air in the lines can cause unbalanced braking, and your alignment setting play a large part in braking stability. So if you haven't had your alignemnt checked in a while, or if you are lowered and have not get everything realigned please do that

^------just what i was going to say, bleed all of your brake lines. it can cause uneven braking and wear your pads quicker. when bleeding, start with rear right, then front left, rear left, then front right. this is the propor procedure to make sure you get everything out of the lines. carquest or napa should sell a bleeder kit for 5-6 bones. well worth it imo. aemrs@hotmail.com if you have any questions

also when checking your brakes, look to see which side has more/less.... it should indicate where the problem is.... i know my right side goes faster, and my car pulls to the right, so i should probably look at that sometime (when i have time and $$$)

depending on how hot your brakes are at the time or what type of pads you have, it could also be brake fade. If, for some reason, your heating the brakes unevenly, one side could fade quicker than another.
