Will things sound different inside the cockpit if you have a blown shock/s? I've noticed my car sounds like shit now when i go over bumps....a lot worse than it used to sound. My shocks are only about a year and a half old....any thoughts?

Speaking from my experience... when I had a blown shock the only reason I knew it was blown was because there was a small puddle of oil under the shock, and the shock itself was always wet. A blown shock means it blew a seal.

It rode and sounded normal for about a month until it leaked out enough oil that it couldn't control the tire anymore. During the last few weeks of it's life, the tire would vibrate so harshly after hitting any bumps on the road that it was almost scary. It sounded like the wheel was about to break off. Before then, no there weren't any abnormal sounds.

What does your car sound like?

I have kyb agx shocks.....i've just discovered that they might shocks for the gsx. but i still haven't figured out what is wrong.

I've noticed that it sounds like something bouncing or hitting in the spare tire area, but i've taken everything out and the noise didn't go away. It's def. a clunking kind of noise whenever i go over bumps....it doesn't happen all the time though. it does happen enough to concern me thoug emoji
Sounds sorta like something hitting metal...
