My car started doing this maybe a month after lowering it. slowly its been getting worse and louder. heres what happens
If im driving really slow (like, speedo isnt even moving) and i turn the wheel right maybe more than half way right, it will start ot either make a screeching noise or a grinding noise. sometimes it like makes the noise, stops, make the noise, stop as the hweel spins. almost like a warped rotor was hitting something for a bit, then not hitting, then hitting. that to me could be the screeching noise o metal on metal and maybe the rotor hitting the dust shield. But the grinidng noise it makes is what bothers me. I cant figure out what it would be and also this ONLY hapeens when tunring right. LEft turns have no problems regardless of how much i turn it. also when tunring right if im above like 5 or 10mph, it does nto make the noise and if im giving the car gas it does not make the noise. unless i just cant hear it. Any ideas of what this could be? im pretty sure it has nothing to do with tires rubbing anything as my current 18's are bigger than the pos 14"s but they made the sound too, any ideas?

wheel bearings will hum at first, then grind... did you loosen the axle nut at anytime? if it wasn't fully torqued the bearing will eventually wear out (fast).
that's what happened to me, had trans rebuilt, shop took the axles out, stripped the nut on the drivers side so it wasn't fully torqued, went through 2 bearings before i figured out what caused it..
bearings are $170 at satan (only place i could find one)

I had the bal joint recall done maybe a year ago. just this just happened right after lowering the car and ONLY happens when turning right and only if its like half the way turning or so. guess i can go to a shop and see if they can find out.
