I just got my new Yokohamas mounted and balanced today along with a 4 wheel alignment. The tires seem great except that there is a vibration a speeds of 70mph+. I've had 2 other sets of tires mounted and balanced and this has never happened before. Could it be the tires or the way that they balanced them? Have any of you had this problem and had it go away after a couple of days? Thanks guys.

Sounds like the tires aren't balanced correctly. I would take them back to where you got it done and tell them

i would get them re-balanced. sometimes a weight will fall off and throw off the balance.

Immediately check the torque on the lug nuts!!!

if it is o-k, take it back and have them fix it.

I agree with ^^^ I got new tires a year ago or so and i had that same vibration above 70 mph. Took it back a few days later and they were way out of balance.

dont' even go back. check the torgue or atleast make sure all your lug nuts are tight. sometimes you'll get a jack ass doing your tires and they will forget to tighten them down all the way. i know a guy with a dodge truck and one of his back wheel fell off on the freeway.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.

everything ^^^^ they said sounds good.... sometimes you might of actually got a bad tire, but very doubtful....i once had a car doing this and it turned out to be a bearing....but i think youd notice if this was the deal, and it sounds corrincedentally(shit do i suck at spelling) that it would happen after you had them mounted and "balanced"

I took all the wheels off and re-tightened them today before I drove back to school. The car still shakes on the highway. I guess they didn't balance them right. I'll take it back on Tuesday and tell those punks to fix it.
