#20150, "KYB GR2's? Why doesn't everyone like them?"

I have seen that a lot of people don't like them. Why? Is something wrong with them. I put a set of the back of my car b/c I didn't have a lot of cash to spend, but wanted something better than stock.

They're not adjustable, and they have a shorter travel than stock, that's why most people don't get them.

They bounce around...they rusted after like 3 months. They serve more of a purpose in the trash than on an automobile. I am going with tokico adjustables next.

Actually, the KYB AGX (Adjustable) has shorter front travel than stock. The GR-2 worked fine for me. Better than stock but not the utmost performance.

Also to others below, stock shocks are made by KYB but are not the GR-2. They look different too.

Mine is really bouncy at all. They said that they had Monroe shocks, but I figured that they would be the ones that would be bouncy.

What are the best to put on it? I had thought about getting the AGX's but I've heard a lot of good things about the blues.

I have the KYB GR-2's on my car...and I am completely happy with them. I have heard they are a tad stiffer than stock, but when help next tos tock they do looke 100% identical...anyhow, no complaints here and I've been lowered forever and a day.

We don't come with KYB GR2's stock. Many people say that we do, but i am sorry, we don't. The stock shock is a little softer than the GR2. The GR2 is a stiffer shock.
I am not even a year into my GR2's, and they are all rusty. I clean out my wheel wells everytime i wash the car, which is about 2 times a week.

From what I have read and heard is the the GR2's come stock on the GSX model. I have them on my car and I am lowered with Nuespeed Sport springs and they get the job done, my spring are nice and firm, but the ride in my car is not uncomfortable...good shocks for the price, I got mine at tirerack.com. I have had them for almost a year and a half now and they are still great. emoji

They suck on a drop. If you are lowered 1 inch or less they are fine.....
