#19821, "how to add brake fluid help!!!!!!!!!!"

ok i searched under "adding brake fluid" with the advance search, all forums. no relevant results.

so the ebrake light came on under a hard stop so brake level is indeed low.

the white topped cylinder right behind the battery holds the brake fluid. how the hell do you open, any special procedure to go through? also what ype of brake fluid

thanks

Make sure you add fluid to the one with the big white top next to the windshield washer reservoir. The small one is for your clutch. Wipe the entire cap down real good to prevent any dirt from getting into the reservoir. Unscrew the cap and push the rubber piece back into place, making sure you don't get any dirt on it (under the cap - it should fold back up into the cap pretty easily). Use DOT 3 or 4 fluid and fill to line. Screw the cap back on, and voila!!

you just unscrew it like ^ said... it's just on realy realy tight! i use the rubber grip stuff like u put in closets or what ever, or i use a jar opener... it's a good idea to bleed the brakes every so often
