How would I know if I have a blown shock? Last night I was driving and I heard a loud popping noise from the back right of the my car, like somethign blew or like soomeone threw a rock at my car. car does nto seem like it drives any differently and the ride height in the rear is still the rear is still the same. my car is lwoerd 2 inches but still if a shock was blown, wouldnt the car sag on that side at least?

one of my friends think i drove over a op bottle and it burst. i did hear something before the popping noise though, like maybe something getting pushed along the ground. but im not sure.

they are the tokico illuminas adjustable shocks.

if you had a blown shock your car would not sag to that side, springs controll height shocks just absorb bumps and such.

How long ago did you lower it? It could be that its just getting itself into place. Probably no big deal, but get under it and check it out imo.

if it was the rear, it will only take you like 10 minutes to take the tire off and dis-assemble the strut. take a look at it.

blown shocks will make your car bounce like a mofo; there is nothing to control the spring coil.

^^^ like he said. just take your car through a bumpy turn at moderate speed. you'll notice the rear will try to skip if your rear struts are gone.
