#19170, "Help me decide: 17" or 18" wheels/tires"

So, I'm stuck with crappy 14" tires at the moment, since I'm still bone stock. One of the things I'm getting ready to do though is buy some decent wheels for my car and ditch the hubcaps.

I want something that'll fill my wheel well, but not something that's gonna be rubbing everything. My area has a lot of hills and places where I bottom out, so I don't wanna lower my car hardly.

How much of a PITA are 18"'s? These are 18"x7" or 18"x8", or I can go with 17"x7". What would you say to go for and why? And what's the best size tire to wrap them in?

Thanks,
Corey

I have 17x7 rims, I bought them at the time becuase I didnt want to go larger b/c I was going to the track at the time, but I havent went to the track in forever. I wish I got 18x8 or 18x7.5 they fill up the wheel well a whole lot more than my 17s. Now on your issue with rubbing on 18s, I dont think many people do with 18s. But maybes thats cuz most everyone is on prokits, which aint a big drop to me, im on H&R Race springs(same as sportlines)

With 18's, as long as you stick with a 225 tire and a +43mm offset or less, you probably won't rub.
