So the only brand STB I think I want is Pilot Motorsports beacause of the looks primarily and it looks well built and not cheezy. SO I ran across the pm 404cf which is made of carbon fiber. My question: DOoes that shit hold up under that type of stress?? I thought it was about as hard as platic. I would imagine it would bend or worse, snap. Am I trippin? I never had cf anything. I would get these for the front and rear. What do you think?

It depends on the type of carbon fiber. People with driveshafts upgrade to carbon fiber because they are stronger and lighter than metal. It all depends on who makes it and what materials they use really.

Yup carbon fiber is lighter and stronger then steel. If the right material quality is used. A lot of the newer super cars use CF frames, I.e. the mclaren etc.

but cant you melt cf with a lighter. Is this a dumb question? I thought It was like strong plastic. Like bucknutty just cracked his cf hood by it flipin open @ 35mph, CRACKED it, Why wouldnt this happen to a STB???

cf is stronger than metal only when done right.
cf is not flexible as metal cf is very brital (sp?) it shaters you can/can't melt the c/f dpending on how its produced. (depends on resin type, how its made, resin temp etc etc)
Normal aftermarket hoods are laminated by hand.. so that's the least expensive, gives you the weakest strength (still quite strong) and easiest way of making a cf product.
carbon fiber rods and high end carbon fiber parts are made of pre-preg cf. they are baked in pressurised autoclave. That's what they use in race cars and what not.

my take on strut tower bars.. for looks get whatever looks good to you but for functionality I'd say these bars don't do much. why you ask? Just take a look at stock new evo bar, that's the way I think it should be done.. but then again it doesn't look pretty.. (and that was my opinion)

ARE You 100% sure this bar is solid carbon fiber and not carbon fiber look or ever a carbon fiber wrapped bar?? I have never run across a true carbon fiber bar for our cars. But here is the bar I would like to get for my car...

Hey when it comes to STB's pretty never + function. I want function but that last one on ebay looks "dead sexey". damn pretty hefty price tag though. I like the, whats it called, something GS that one guy is selling on here, In the group buy section. that one = badass! and yeah its probably cf contact paper or some bullshit, didnt even think about that.

cf is alot stronger by weight when compared to steel. My hood cracked because it was forced by the wind to go beyond where a hood is supposed to go, it was flush with my windshield. With something like a strut bar, i would give the cf one a try, if it breaks or sumthin its not like it is a vital part of the car.
