#19007, "Front StrutBar, wat does it do?"

Hey guys, I was planning on getting some front struts for my car (I been told that I didn't really need the rear ones, correct me im mistaken) and I was just wondering exactly wat it does performance wise. I know that it keeps the chasis more stable and stuff but like, does it help my car turn sharper or wat? I been noticing that my eclipse has horrible turning radius (sux at U turning) and I was wondering if a front strut would help make my turning radius smaller. If anyone can help I'll greatly appreciate it.

It stiffens up the chassi to stop chassi flex. I noticed a pretty big difference in my handeling. Feels more stable and am able to corner faster, ect..

No it won't make your cars' turning radius better. You would need to mess with your steering for that. As for what it does, I know like he said, it tightens up the car, but I have been told by many people that for the 2g, it dosen't do squat unless it is like a full engine bay bar (welded to many points under the hood). I don't know if it is true or not, but just my 2cents.

if ya want a real performance strut bar for our cars get a Hurricane Bar. it's made my by hurricane_gs on this board. he makes them himself. instead of mounting to the strut tower it mounts to the bolts next to the 'humps' of the strut tower. there's 4 mounting poits. it's a solid piece of metal and DOESNT block the oil cap emoji

check the group buy forum for info.
