#18729, "wierd problem just wanna confirm my theory"

alright i just noticed after i installed my kyb stockish struts w/h&r springs, when i go over a bump or start to move it makes a very bad noise in the rear and also when i am on a hill and stop it sounds like the back end is trying to move. my theory is that since i am a rs emoji that my rotor brakes are dying and also my rear bushings are broken i plan on swapping the rea brakes for discs but i just want another opinion, thanks

Could you describe what the noise sounds like? Most of us that drop get a rattling noise in the rear. My shocks sounded like they rattled for like 4 months; I tried everything and nothing seemed to help. Eventually the noise went away by itself.

Um old pickups sound like VROOOOOOOMMMMMMMM VROOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM. So your shocks sound like they have a huge v8 or somethin?? MY front shocks sound like creeking noises when i go over speed bumps. My rear shocks sound like squeeking when they kit the speed bump. so pick from the following noises so we can help you out!

i think it could be your rear uppper knuckle bushing.. as in it has torn or worn out or something...

pic for little extra umph of description..

look up above your rear wheels and inspect those bushings.. just one on each side..

if it has gone out.. you will need to replace the bushing with either an aftermarket replacement such as a eurthane bushing from energy suspension or prothane or get a whole new bushing from the dealer, but it think last time i checked for myself all they would sell was a whole new kuckle arm assembly with the bushings already installed.. which = $160+ a piece.. the bushings themselves can be had cheap, but the install can get you if you have someone else do it other than yourself, but its a pita cause you have to used a press, and many other tools and such..

good luck..
