I've got some 18's on 225/40's and I had a few questions. First what would be a good recommended drop? I want to be lower but not die on speedbumps.

Also.. will I be fine getting just lowering springs.. or must I get new shocks and what not? I really don't know too much here and any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Thanks

there are many good springs out there. eibach prokits, eibach sportlines, progress, H&R OE, H&R race, goldline, and many more. prokits give the least amount of drop as to where sportlines, H & R race, and progress give the most. you need to replace your stock struts with some that allow more suspension travel when you lower your car, otherwise they will blow out in 10000 miles or less.
