Mine are setup: bump stop, washer, top hat, OEM grommet.
When you lower the car down and tighten the nut, the washer squeezes the top hat upward and causes it to expand and that keeps the top of the coilover spring from moving. Afterwards give it about a week to settle and tighten the nut again. I also cut the bumpstops in half but I guess one of them somehow disintegrated. Hope this helps.

I used to have it: bump stop, top hat, washer, OEM grommet.
Not only did the bump stop distort way out of proportion (inside-out)... it'd also settle itself out of place within a week and the coilover spring would rub against the sleeve. It took me several weeks of experimenting until I got it right. My rear suspension also used to rattle no matter what I did to it. It went away somehow after a few months... or maybe I just don't hear it anymore I dunno, lol.
Man this was over two years ago before I knew 2gnt even existed.
