Now, Shaun has told me that after his beefed up his suspension his times got significantly better, so I'm curious what everyone else thinks. I'm planning on installing a set of Tockico adjustable shocks and some Skunk2 street/strip coil overs. I was turning 15.5's on my blown rear shocks which has convinced me why I'm so tractionless. Now, if I put on these suspension pieces and set the shocks to their hardest setting, how much of an impact do you think it would make? At the track Shaun nails his launches like his car was programmed with no hop. I'm curious how much of a difference in times it would make if my car didnt hop and smoke through first and into second. Big? none? Also, what combination should I go with? I know HRC lowers the front of their car and leave the back higher. I'm assuming this is to keep the weight from transferring as much to the rear and to lessen drag. Any info/input from the suspension gods would be appreciated =oP

Yeah the less weigh transfer to the rear for us the better. I would suggest a hardest settings in the rear and soimethign on the softer side in the front transfer the weight to the fron ttires and mak ethem bit in the shifts. But play around with em and let us know what works the best.

If you get the AFX solid front motor mount the wheel hop goes away completely. No hop at all!!!!! Just some burnt rubber....hehe

To minimize weight transfer, which ends up sending traction to the rear wheels, your rear needs to be set at the hardest possible setting and the fron some soft of in between. I have GC on illuminas with stiff in the front and medium in the rear. Mine is set for handling and can be easily set(turn of my 2 knobs in the rear on shock towers) for peak acceleration.
