second time i've installed a wheel bearing on my car... i just did it... torqued the hub/bearing assembly to 65 ft/lbs and just got back from test drive and wheel is loose again!!!!

what gives? am i forgetting to do something? this is the 2nd bearing that has done this to me and the guy won't warranty any more bearings.

please help!!!! (no grinding, just loose)

nevermind i got it... when i had the trans done the shop fucked up my axles and stripped that nut thing at the end... i put a new one on (i had to add a washer the threads were messed up) and tightened the hell out of it... and then some.

now i'm all good, for now... i'm thinking i'm gonna need a new axle in the future though.

wheel shake gone (guess i didn't need the new hub/bearing afterall)
