As you guys know, I got my springs/struts in friday and tonight when I was out cruising I noticed some squeeking from the front drivers side. It seems to only happen when the suspension compresses slowly, like getting in and out of the car, but doesn't squeek when I hit a bump at speed, or maybe I'm just not hearing it.

Anyway, I know Brian replaced one of the connecting structures up front, I'm not sure specifically which piece. I was wondering if this could some how be related to the recall? I took my car in, and they told me I didn't need the recall work (although I just found out EVERY car gets it done free even if they blow sunshine up your ass and say you dont need it.)

Anyway, I just thought I'd run it by you guys to see what your thoughts are before I call Brian....

(Note: I used the search and I didn't find any real useful info)

Yeah, if that tie rod has some play in it then it might make some noise. Other than that, you should expect some different noises when you lower the car. Its putting different stress on parts then they saw before. My car squeaked for a while until the springs got totally seated where they wanted to be.

OK, it's nothing major, and that's what I though. I can tolerate the squeeks, as long as nothings going to explode. I think it makes the car more exciting.

Random Girl in passenger seat: "Why is your car squeeking?"
Me: "It's not squeeking, it's talking to you... (whispers) Give Steve a Blow job."

haha, no idea where that came from.

The tie rod IS a big deal. YOu need to get that recall done right, otherwise you might have a major problem one day while going down the road...
